Aokigahara

2020 – 2021

Inspired by the infamous Aokigahara forest, Melissa created a poem and images related to death focusing on the pressures of society and the feeling of running away from oneself. The project focuses on the paranoid, depressed and insecure emotions which constantly run through the mind feeling trapped and isolated from society and oneself.
